A walk through Old Stavanger

One of our first days in Norway we rode the bus to the police station so we could start the process of getting our person numbers. We literally can't do anything until we are assigned a number: get a bank, assigned doctors, get a phone, etc. Barrett called several times the day before to get an appointment but never could get a hold of anyone, so we just decided to go down there. But it didn't do any good because we couldn't do anything without an appointment. Since we were already in city center we decided to at least take a little time to see the area before Barrett went back to work. Luckily the rain stopped long enough for us to take some pictures.
Here is the harbor area.

And this is quaint, Old Stavanger.

It really is beautiful. And I can't even imagine living in this area and being able to walk out your front door onto cobblestones every morning. It made the trip worth it.
